It Is YOUR Choice…

Succeeding and messing it up, is YOUR choice!!! Boom… I know… I know!!!

Look, when it’s hard to look at yourself, to “look in your own mirror”… use another person as a study/example.

How many times have you asked someone to do something or perhaps told them NOT to do something? Only to observe that they once again, DID the thing or DIDN’T do the thing, essentially sabotaged themselves or the plan. 

Oh they offer every excuse and reason under the sun as to why or why not right? But here it is… They knew what they had been asked. They heard you when you explained why. They “yes yes yesed” you all over the place. And then oops! 

Now while we are on our “case subjects” here, a little tip to save you going mental... 

Stop making it so personal! This is their issues that they are working through! Oh yes, I know… but how can they be so stupid/stubborn/inconsiderate/useless/unreliable/stand there and believe their rubbish??? Remember if you can see it in others, you can see it in yourself, we will be full circle at the end of this!. But for now, let’s continue.

Put your judgmental pants away! Pull the plug emotionally on this! It is what it is! Your job is NOT to criticize and condemn! It is to only know one thing…they didn’t make the decision!!!!! Whatever it was YOU told them, that was YOUR decision, not theirs! 

Obviously in an ideal world, they would “obey” so to speak but did you really want that? Or did you want them to decide/commit to the action? See, if they had committed through deciding, you wouldn’t be hearing the excuses/reasons! It simply would have been so! That choice to commit is theirs to make…not yours! You can force someone to do something but you can not force someone to decide from within! 

If a psychic says… “go spend $5k on the lottery tonight and you will make $1,000,000!!!” Well…would you? 

How about when you HAVE to do something you don’t want to do? Pay the bills, go to work, clean up vomit from the dog, renew your licence! Are you deciding to do it from within or being forced to? And, with being forced to…how does it make you feel? Full circle time… 

Your messing it up is YOUR choice! You are NOT going to the gym, you are NOT eating right, you are NOT doing the things you want to do, you are NOT being happy, you are NOT making that call, you are NOT writing that letter, you are NOT getting that house, you are NOT on that holiday, you are NOT being that mum, you are NOT making that money. It goes on. Whatever your thing is. Because YOU WON’T DECIDE!!!! You are still coughing up to yourself, the world, anyone who will listen. Yep you guessed it…EXCUSES!!!! Hey… guilty over here still at times and in different areas of my life for sure. 

But knowing this…deciding this is actually true and relevant…that is how it begins to change! Because here’s the thing… you KNOW that when you put your mind to something… it becomes non negotiable! Come on, think of a time you just decided to do or get something in your life and JUST DID IT?

And you got it! Even what you realised you maybe don’t want in hindsight… still… before you got it… you wanted it and… it happened! So… What ever the fuck it is you want. To live like… To have… To experience… To do… To be… I hear you but I also hear all the reasons why you won’t get it! LET IT GO! Let it go with others and let it go with yourself! The only way to get what you want is to decide. 

No matter the cost financially No matter the cost in energy No matter the cost socially And so on… Once the decision is made… the answers will show! But YOU and YOU alone must decide and be ready. It doesn’t matter how much you nag or yell or scream or punish another… until they decide for themselves. 

So… It doesn’t matter who tells you where you should go/spend/look/take action. EVEN IF THEY KNOW WHAT’S BEST FOR YOU AND YOU KNOW THEY ARE RIGHT!!!!!!!!… you won’t go! Not while your bull shit about how you can’t or, how you tried, is bigger than your decision to DO IT!!! 

Where there is a will… (if in fact there is a will…) there is always a way! But that “way” is not a “how”… it is through faith in your decision that the way always presents!!! Look back and you will SEE for yourself! 

It’s your life and it’s waiting for you to decide to make it EVERYTHING you dream… But you know… I can tell you till I am blue in the face right… lead a horse to water… So… what’s your decision???
